Equipment
At PSC we us a multitude of different tools every day to perform the required
tasks of getting your job done. This page has a short list with a quick
description of some different pieces of equipment we are constantly using.

Air Pressurized Pot - Blast pots come in
different sizes, shapes and configurations depending on what the needs are for
the blaster and the items being blasted

Blast Nozzle - There are many different blasting
nozzles to choose from. Size, length, material make up, are all factors that
need to be evaluated before using the most appropriate nozzle for the material
that's going to be put through it and the job it's intended to do.

Pressure Pots & Airless Systems - Our most
used painting supply source is the Pressure Pot. We have over a dozen units of
many different sizes with different options available to give the painter the
best ability to put paint on your project. On the far right is an airless
system that pushes the paint through the hose using an electric motor giving
it head pressure.

Guns - Depending on the size job, the
material that's going through it and the level in which the paint needs to be
applied there are many different paint guns to choose from. The gun on the
left hooks up to a pressure pot. The two middle ones have there own
cup attached, the middle left is a gravity feed and the middle right a siphon feed. The
gun on the right is an airless type. Each of these guns have multiple tips and air cap
capability to help dial in on just exactly what is needed to make the finish
just right for the application requirements.

Pluralized Pump - This is the unit we use for
our high-solids material when a Pluralized system is needed.
The Benefits:
- Clear controls
- Simple to operate
- Mixing ratio smoothly adjustable
- Auto monitor of A & B components
- Integral solvent flushing system
- Problem-free cleaning
- Wetted parts are non-corrosive

Wheelabrator -
This shows a couple different styles of what wheelabrator equipment can look
like. Some machines are made so that the parts go in one side and out the
other as like the one on the left and some are made that you open a door, put
the part to be blasted in the machine, close the door and let it do it's thing
for a specific amount of time in which you remove the part out the same door
it went in such as the two units on the right.

Wet & Dry Film Gauges -
Wet film gauges (left) get used while the painter is in the midst of painting.
While the paint it wet the painter sticks the gauge deep into the paint
on one edge and finds the tooth where the paint didn't touch and right next to
it it does touch. The amount of paint is considered to be right between the
two measurements.
Dry film gauges are used when the paint is dry and either magnetically
(center) or by an electronic signal (right) it determines the thickness
between it and the substrate below.

Spark Tester -
This is an electronic device that sends a volt of DC-electricity through the
wand and as it moves over the coated surface will spark against the metal
substrate if it finds a pinhole in the coating surface.

Profile Test Tape & Gauge - The tape strip
is applied to the blasted surface. A small designated area on the tape is then
rubbed with a special tool. The designated area is then put between the anvils
of the dial snap-caliper to get the measured thickness of the tape which is
then considered the depth of the blast profile.

Environmental Instrument -
This is an electronic device that measures the temperature, and relative
humidity by the push of a button.
